Swim, hike, and play!

Claggett Center's 268 acre campus offers a host of recreational activities for youth and adults.

Hiking
Discover over four miles of walking and hiking trails in the Monocacy River Valley! Stroll the paved paths on campus, walk through the fields toward Sugarloaf Mountain to the Hasselbach family cemetery, or hike a variety of new trails installed in 2020. Annual trail passes are available for purchase here. 

Basketball Courts and Ball Field
Shoot hoops or organize a team sport.  Claggett Center has ample open space for volleyball, horseshoes, foot races, softball, kickball, football or soccer.

Pavilion and Barn
These shady spots are great for crafts, square dances, and worship services.  The lighted pavilion has tables and 200 folding chairs, plus a stage for skits or musical performances.

Challenge Ropes Course
Explore teambuilding and self-esteem activities in a "Challenge by Choice" environment. Contact Upward Enterprises for more information.

Outdoor Pool (seasonal)
Play water volleyball or simply splash around in the junior Olympic-size pool.  Lifeguards on duty during open hours.
