Dear Friends in Christ,
Exciting things are taking shape with the barn renovation at the Claggett Center. Construction is on schedule!
Through the generosity of many individuals, congregations, and charitable organizations, we have raised $2.49 million of our $3 million goal.
Will you help us cross the finish line to Raise the Barn? Gifts and pledges made during the month of October will be matched dollar for dollar up to $250k by George B. Delaplaine, Jr., a generous Claggett supporter.
The barn is being rapidly and carefully transformed. The staff and design team are working closely with the Maryland Historic Trust and National Park Service to implement renovations that preserve the historic integrity of this 125 year old structure. We are on schedule for the barn to open in April of 2023.
This renovated space at the heart of the Claggett campus will increase opportunities for spiritual transformations–a large, welcoming space that invites worship, play, music, joy, and exuberance. We have each made a pledge to this effort, and we ask you to join us.
Your past contributions and support of Episcopal Church ministry has been foundational for the wellbeing of the faith communities we treasure.
Cross the $3 million finish line with us! Now is the time to give! Make a gift or pledge before October 31 to double the impact of your generosity.
You may make a gift online (claggettcenter.org/campaign) also call Lisa Marie Ryder (301-874-5147 ext. 6388), the Claggett Center’s Co-Executive Director, to make a gift or pledge, or to discuss gifts of stock or legacy gifts.
Blessings and peace,
