Priority Scheduling for 2023 Diocesan Events

Dear Friends,

Since the opening of the Christiane Inn in 2015, Claggett’s hospitality ministries have grown. It is important to us that Claggett is available as an essential resource for Christian formation and transformation, which is why we are pleased to introduce a new system for booking events that will better ensure that Diocesan groups have first priority.

Starting with 2023, an upcoming calendar year will now open approximately a year and a half in advance, with a system for taking Diocesan reservations first. Qualifying diocesan events include: any event associated with a parish in the Diocese of Maryland or Washington and events sponsored directly by the Diocese of Maryland or Washington or affiliated ministries.

Receive priority scheduling for your 2023 events by completing the following process:

1. Fill out and return the “Priority Reservation Form” by September 15, 2021.
   1. Complete one form for each event.
   2. Be sure to include three possible dates for each event. It is our goal to be able to schedule every group for one of their top three dates.
2. Your reserved dates will be confirmed by October 1, 2021.
   1. January-June 2023 contracts will be sent by December 31, 2021. July-December 2023 contracts will be sent by February 28, 2022.
   2. Deposits are due within 14 days of receipt of contract.
3. The priority scheduling period ends on September 15, 2021. On October 1, 2021, the 2023 calendar will open on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that events are not automatically rebooked. All previous and new groups to Claggett that wish to receive priority scheduling must participate in the above process. 2023 Diocesan event requests received after September 15, 2021 will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. The 2022 calendar is already open and being booked on a first come, first served basis.
